While we will
include poems from every state in the anthology, we are now only need submissions by writers living in the following states:
Alaska Arkansas Delaware Idaho Iowa
Louisiana
Mississippi Minnesota
Montana Nebraska North Carolina
North Dakota Oklahoma
Utah and Wyoming
We are accepting
poems written on the following theme:
How
do you see America?
You can write in any style or
theme, any voice or topic, serious or funny, etc.
You can write about how you see the country in general, your town or city,
backyard, or other physical locations.
We are looking for details, uniqueness and passion.
If you write about a political
topic, try to write about it in a way readers have not seen before.
If you write about a location,
people or
life observation, the reader should easily be able to step into the
picture you create and experience what you are describing. You might
consider your approach as journalistic poetry.
Basically anything goes, so long as some portion of America is in your
poem.
